Attempted Theft - Moray Farm

Police are requesting farmers to remain vigilant following the attempted theft of power tools from a farm near Keith, Moray. The incident occurred between 01.40 am and 01.50 am on Tuesday 13 April 2021.

North East Division Crime Reduction Officer Constable Richard Russell said:

"Ensure all external doors are of solid construction with suitable locks or a closed shackle padlock fitted. Hide the contents from view using protective grilles on windows if appropriate and ensure property is locked away at night or when not in use."

Invest in a secure storage toolbox and consider installing alarms on buildings where equipment is kept. Consider installing automatic security lights that come on at dusk and turn off at dawn. Install CCTV cameras to watch over the most vulnerable areas of the property.
