1. VandalismThis theme includes all aspects of malicious damage, litter and graffiti within the built environment. It is also concerned with the crime of Wilful Fireraising . This theme also encompasses the study of public space CCTV as a tool for tackling community safety. |
2. Road Safety for Young DriversThis theme whilst focusing on reducing injury collisions involving young drivers, will also look to implement good practice in education, encouragement, engineering and enforcement in the built environment. |

3. Community Safety Problems Arising from Substance MisuseThe substance abuse theme will address community safety concerns where drugs and alcohol are considered to be a major contributing factor, such as, personal safety, domestic violence and anti social behaviour. |
Additional Community Safety Theme GroupsIn addition to the above themes the partnership will continue to look at innovative ways to tackle and improve Home Safety and Fire Safety both traditional community safety concerns throughout Aberdeenshire. The Welcome to Aberdeenshire theme group will focus on assisting new migrant workers to integrate safely in our communities with the additional remit to monitor racist incidents. As the 2005 - 2008 Community Safety Partnership Award Programme funding cannot be extended to these three themes the partnership will actively seek out new funding opportunities where appropriate. The Antisocial Behaviour theme group will focus on the implementation of the new Aberdeenshire Strategy by using a multi agency approach to solving local problems. |
