Rape & Abuse Support Aberdeen and the North East (RASANE)

Rape and Abuse Support Aberdeen and North East (RASANE) was established in 1993 as Aberdeen Rape Crisis. The service was provided by a small group of volunteers who were respnsible for running the whole organisation. In 2005 our hard work was recognised by the Scottish Executive and we were able to employ staff. We are also funded by Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council.
Rape and Abuse Support is a registered charity that provides a comprehensive service including support and information on legal and medical issues arising from rape or sexual abuse.
We aim to raise awareness of the issues surrounding sexual violence and its effects on survivors. We also provide information, training and support to health professionals and external agencies.
We provide support and information to all women who have experienced sexual violence.
We also provide emotional support to friends, relatives and workers. Support is also offered to women who work in prostitution and are raped/sexually assaulted & women who are survivors of domestic abuse.

Please call us for support & information, the helpline is open between: 7.OOpm - 9.OOpm Mondays & Thursdays and will normally be answered during office hours Monday - Friday.
An answer machine is available outwith these hours and at busy times. Please leave a name and contact number and we will DISCREETLY return your call.
