Is your home an easy target for thieves?

Residents in Aberdeenshire & Moray live in a low crime area. Police Scotland are committed to ensuring that the people living in our communities continue to enjoy residing in an area where crime is low.

This "Home Security Quiz" has been designed and developed so individuals living in our area can take a pro-active approach to assist us in making sure that the chances of them being the subject of criminal activity is greatly reduced.

In recent months there have been a few incidents of theft. Often these have occurred whereby homeowners have not locked their cars or even their homes overnight. Living in a low crime area can often lead to complacency and sometimes small changes in our habits or taking basic precautions, like locking doors, can help to ensure our communities remain a stronghold against crime.

The purpose of the quiz is to alert you, not alarm you, and to offer direction and advice. Sometimes small actions or changes in our habits is sufficient to significantly reduce the chances of the people in our communities being the subject of criminal activity.
