Grampian Police in the Kincardine & Mearns launched their local Community Safety Calendar for 2009. The images in this calendar stem from artwork provided by local school children from the area and cover issues such as the use of Drugs, Cigarettes, Alcohol, Internet, Road Safety, Vandalism, Fire Safety and Litter.

The project was supported and funded by Kincardine & Mearns Community Safety Group and the Kincardine & Deeside Drugs Project.  A group of school pupils from Kincardine & Mearns area were presented with certificates and tickets for Cineworld by Aberdeenshire Provost Bill Howatson after their designs were chosen to feature in the calendar.

The winners are pictured along with Provost Howatson and the School Liaison Officer for Grampian Police.
