Safety Group have opened up a competition to all 16-19
year olds who are still at school in the area with a free Pass Plus course included

Coastal safety

The Kincardine & Mearns Community Safety Group has funded coastal
safety signs along cliff tops in the area in collaboration with the
Maritime and Coastguard Agency. The signs warn
of steep cliffs and advise visitors to stay on the marked paths and not to

Sea safety initiative The CSG is supporting a Project Officer to carry out a wide range of sea safety initiatives with young people Safety for fossil hunters Kevin Hutchens, Chairperson of the Kincardine and Mearns Community Safety Group expressed concern that Fossil hunters visiting the rocks off the coast at Cowie, near Stonehaven could put themselves in danger from incoming tides. He said that people visiting the beach should follow the advice of the Marine & Coastguard Agency and pay heed to their SeaSmart code. |

Local crime

The CSG has helped to fund Notepads which encourage
householders to record details of suspicious activity and then
prompts them to pass this information to the Police as soon as
possible. The Notepads are available to householders free of
