As part of its contract to manage the Aberdeenshire Citizens' Panel, the Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership (ACPP) commissioned Craigforth in early 2006 to conduct a postal survey exercise with the Citizens' Panel.

The survey was developed from discussions with the ACPP partners and was issued to all 1324 Panel members in June 2006. A total of 948 survey forms were returned, representing an overall response rate of 72%.

This survey was a follow up to the 2004 Community Wellbeing Survey and the 2005 Banff and Buchan Survey on Community Safety and Policing. It sought views on the following topic areas:
