Eleven establishments from across Aberdeenshire received awards for the work they have done over the last year to improve standards and customer experience. They were awarded five Gold awards, two Silver awards and four Accredited awards at the ceremony, which took place at the Holiday Inn Aberdeen West. Aberdeenshire Council Provost Bill Howaston presented the awards at the ceremony. Best Bar None - Results
Provost Howaston said: "Developing a scheme such as this one is extremely important to help tackle the issues surrounding alcohol abuse and alcohol related crime. Kate Rigby, Strategic Development Officer (Community Safety) for Aberdeenshire, said: "There are schemes such as the Aberdeenshire one all across the country, all with the aim of raising standards and reducing not only alcohol related crime but all problems that stem from over indulgence in alcohol. The Aberdeenshire scheme is supported by Aberdeenshire Community Safety Partnership, the Scottish Business Crime Centre and is sponsored by Diageo.
