The Aberdeenshire Community Safety Partnership Annual Safety Audit 2004 |
The Aberdeenshire Community Safety Partnership has published its third Community Safety Audit.
Since the Partnership was established in 1998 we have seen the benefits of carrying out an Audit each year. The Audit looks at issues such as the scale and nature of Community Safety problems, the relevant risk factors and of course how effective the measures already in place are tackling the problems.
In order to compile the third audit the Partnership employed Samantha Pettett, a third year BA Law and Management Degree student at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, to conduct the relevant research.
The Community Safety Partnership and the other partners support the 2004 Strategy that is based on the audit, from the data that was collected from all the partners, summarises the key work that has already been undertaken.
The Audit is very much a working document and will promote a shared understanding of Community Safety problems as well as providing useful information for developing other local plans.
The Audit results will be used to help formulate the Partnership’s Action Plans for 2005- 2006.
The Partnership promotes a multi-agency approach to tackling community safety issues and it looks forward to continuing its work with communities to make Aberdeenshire a safer and more attractive place to live in, work in and visit.
The main purpose of the Audit is to help prioritise problems across Aberdeenshire. After this has been achieved, strategic priorities and objectives will be reviewed.
